Our Story
DiMe QLD is the passion project of Directors Chas and Carl. Both have spent over 20 plus years combined in the corporate world, building businesses, coaching and mentoring leaders, traveling extensively, training and developing international organizations, all while raising their families.
In 2019 they saw an opportunity to bring all their skills and experience to the disability community and create the environment for participants to enjoy safe, fun adventures and healthy activities that are not typically seen in the industry. Serving participants with a mild to moderate disability meant they could take them on the type of getaways that they enjoyed with their own families.
Chas Quin - Director
Chas Quin is one of the company directors but don't let the title fool you. He's as hands on as anyone in the team and plays full out in every aspect of life. You name he's done it, from 20 years in aviation to corporate trainer to online marketing, he's a health and fitness fanatic! And when he's not running meetings or coaching clients, you'll find him paddling out on the open ocean or skateboarding to his local cafe to enjoy a coffee He's a dedicated family man to his partner and 2 daughters and he brings all his personal and professional experience to the exciting world of Disability Services with DiMe QLD.
Carl Utupo - Director
Carl Utupo is co-Director of DiMe QLD, but behind the company you'll find a down to earth family man that loves to create things and bring them to life! Carl has spent over 10 years in the corporate world including all 3 levels of government with a particular focus on education. He more recently spent 7 years in e-commerce building a global business in health and lifestyle solutions His interest in Disability Services came about when he helped a friend by attending a weekend camp for disabled youth. From there he saw an opportunity to bring something special to the table and create a getaway experience for participants to remember for a lifetime. He is crazy about his wife and kids and they have traveled extensively enjoying all that life has to offer.
